This is an amazing piece by Joseph Suqslaq. What are so captivating about this piece are the different coloured tones of stone he used. The sandstone grey textures of the bear gives a certain bravado and panache that this piece deserves.
The textures are done in a raw format, emulating the rugged surroundings of the Canadian North that this bear must endure to survive. The proportions are outstanding as well as the overall detail. I was quite happy to get my hands on this piece.
