WALKABOUT is on his first Walkabout.
Traditionally, this is an Australian Aboriginal rite of passage that marks the
transition from adolescence to adulthood.
The young person is provided with the opportunity to practice and demonstrate
the skills and knowledge required by their community’s adults.
This young adult Polar bear is a Classic Malliki bear.
Each detail of the bear is meticulously carved.
Paul has used naturally deceased Polar bears as a type of template.
He has recorded all the measurements required to determine the exact proportions and structures of the physical features of the bear.
Paul has used a vanilla white marble freckled with delicate freckles of pastel gray for Walkabout.
The finish is smooth and lovely.
The bear’s black nose, eyes, mouth and claws are perfect and are the icing on the cake for this stunning piece.
